PMI can grind almost everything from 1 cylinder lawn mowers to large 6 cylinder, V8 and V12 over the road crankshafts. In today’s bearing standards, we prefer to ID Grind your crankshaft because this method helps get the exact clearances you want. We also do indexing, stroking, and chamfering oil holes.

Crankshaft Magnaflux Crack Detection

We check many types of items with a Wet Magnafluxer. A wet magnafluxer allows us to check round items much more effectively than a dry magnafluxer. Axles, spindles, gears, connecting rods, and crankshafts– you name it, we can probably check it!

PLEASE NOTE: Nothing is guaranteed when checking for cracks, we do all we can to look for them, but it is possible that the cracks are internal and unable to be seen.
